, MBE (27 December 1940 – 27 October 2009[1]) was one of the cricket world's best-known umpires.
What was striking to me was the accuracy of his decisions and the speed at which they came.
He was regarded as a father figure in cricket fraternity and has his own Premonition.
His stance next to wickets was as sharp as the razor sharp finger which raised to give out many a lot.
His radical views on cricket and love for test cricket is well known.
The triple Nelsons could never play with him.
May his accuracy and sharpness inspire a lot.
