Dr. Elattuvalapil Sreedharan (b. 12 JULY 1932 in Palakkad district, Kerala) is an Indian technocrat, known for completing both the Konkan Railway and Delhi Metro projects within budget and ahead of schedule.
Dr. Elattuvalapil Sreedharan better known as the “Metro man” for his Delhi Metro Project execution. I particularly impressed by his focus and passion for his work which shows in his time management skill and timed delivery of project. At my work on assignments I often requested to select the team myself knowing my requirements, which helped me in delivering output on or before time. This I have learnt by reading about his style of work and a quote of his "I believe that when an officer is given a particular task, he should be made responsible to finish it" gives an important value about onus of one’s work.
